Cider

Our cider is made from 100% freshly pressed apple juice, with no added flavourings or sugar - as real cider should be!

We grow most of the fruit ourselves: a lot of apples come from a Victorian orchard we have restored and from the young trees we have planted here and at our market garden. We do also take some donations from customers who have surplus fruit. We use a combination of eating, cooking and cider apples to make our cider - we mix the fruit at the pressing stage to create a flavoursome blend.

We currently produce three ciders, all with names inspired by the countryside around our home:

Tabular Hills (6.5%) is light, still, dry and refreshing, perfect with food. Its mild tannins showcase its crisp apple flavours and aromas. Best served at room temperature.

Hackness Rock (6%). Medium dry and naturally sparkling, this light golden cider is a perfect alternative to champagne for a special occasion or celebration.

Sugar Loaf (5%). The natural sweetness of traditional dessert apples coupled with a slow, cool fermentation results in a cloudy, fruity medium cider.

All Tree Top ciders are available to try and buy at our licensed farm shop. They’re handmade in relatively small batches, so if you want a particular cider, or a large quantity, please do call before travelling.

Supplied in 750ml bottles at £6 per bottle, or three bottles for £16. Also available to order in 10-litre ‘bag-in-boxes’ for £42.00  – please email info@treetoppress.co.uk or telephone: 07713 966 990 for details.
